Regine di cuori (Queens of hearts) is a program dedicated to some of the most emblematic female figures in history: Ariadne, Medea, Dido, Octavia and Agrippina. They share their royal lineage, the pain, the betrayal, the abandonment, the tragedy of their lives. The protagonists of the concert will be the Ensemble Locatelli, conducted by Thomas Chigioni, and the “queen of hearts” Margherita Sala, extraordinary contralto, who with her enveloping voice will make us relive the stories of the sovereigns who suffered from the weight of their crowns and obscured by the shadow of the male figures who accompanied them.
