Description
The Monteverdi Festival celebrates the great European Baroque with a tribute to the English composer John Dowland, 400 years after his death. This special concert features the world-renowned tenor Ian Bostridge, accompanied by the acclaimed British ensemble Fretwork.
For his interpretation of Dowland’s songbook, Bostridge has collaborated with some of today’s finest lutenists. In Cremona, he will be joined by Kristiina Watt, a student of the celebrated Elizabeth Kenny, creating together a chamber music dialogue of extraordinary intensity.
