Who was Barbara Strozzi?
The contours of her identity are fragmented. We know, however, the environments and the people she used to associate with, we know her music and maybe this is all we need to know about her. We will therefore sneak in the parlors we will get to listen to the voices of the academics getting excited, rejoicing and suffering while discussing the theme that Barbara chose for the night: Is love a matter of joy or suffering? We will listen to her music which is, perhaps the voice of all women who love, rejoice, suffer, cure, heal.
