The drama, set to music by Vincenzo Bellini, in which the heart affairs collide whit the political ones, puts at the centre of the story Norma. Druid’s priestess, in love with the roman Pollione with whom she had two children, Norma sees herself repudiate from her loved and “betrayed” by her friend Adalgisa. The Drama shows her feelings of anger, desperation, revenge, and then commotion, friendship sense, hope and again fury, until the heroic final abnegation that are translated in high beautiful musical pages. The conduction is entrusted to the young and talented Alessandro Bonato, the main conductor of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Marche, the youngest to fulfil this role among the thirteen Concert-Orchestral Italian Institutions, while the direction is of Elena Barbalich, Venetian stage director that collected great appreciations for his works, among a Macbeth, realized for OperaLombardia in 2019.
