Description

“May you inherit the spirit of Mozart from the hands of Haydn.”
This famous wish was addressed to a young Beethoven traveling to Vienna. After him, that spirit was gradually taken up by other composers.

The Arod Quartet follows some of these developments (with works by the German Brahms, the Czech Dvořák, and the Hungarian Bartók), gathering fascinating results in perhaps the form best suited to carry on that legacy: the string quartet.
