The opening of the music season of the Ponchielli Theatre of Cremona is entrusted to a grand symphonic concert: the class 1990 conductor Lorenzo Viotti, who is among the most interesting and cherished conductors on the international panorama, will conduct the Filarmonica della Scala, founded in 1982 by Claudio Abbado on the Wiener Philharmoniker, will perform one of the most moving works by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, Symphony No. 6, Tragic.
Quoting the composer, this piece “embodies all the strength of man struggling against his fate”.
