The Vespro della Beata Vergine by Claudio Monteverdi can be mentioned among the milestones of western music: arrival point of the long and honoured Renaissance sacred polyphonic tradition, and departure step for the concerted style base of the great masterpieces of the incoming centuries. The live listening and sharing experience of this musical moment is, without any doubt, one of the most engaging and emotionally rich that you can offer to such a varied audience. The concert is the result of the collaboration with Città di Mantova and Fondazione Umberto Artioli Mantova Capitale Europea dello Spettacolo. The Vespers will be replied the 20th June in the city that hosted Monteverdi for most of his artistic life and aims at merging Cremona and Mantua in an artistic and cultural partnership in honour of the composer.
