Description

Paolo Genovese signs his first theatrical direction by bringing to the stage the adaptation of one of his most brilliant cinematographic comedies about friendship, love and betrayal. It all starts from the common assumption that each of us has three lives: one public, one private and one secret. Once upon a time that secret was well protected in the archive of our memory, today it is in our cell phones. During a dinner, a group of longtime friends decide to place their phones on the table, sharing messages, phone calls and their deepest secrets.

An evening with friends thus turns into a heated confrontation over betrayal and loyalty: the secrets that the various cell phones contain provoke unsuspected confessions. In the end, everyone will have to openly display messages and calls received, with absolutely unpredictable outcomes. The show, which was born from the 2016 cult film of the same name and has collected an infinite number of awards: among these, two David di Donatello, three Nastri d’argento, a Golden Globe and four Ciak d’oro and had also in dozens of versions around the world, it is a choral comedy about human feelings and relationships and addresses a plurality of themes and nuances that reflect our contemporaneity.
