Description

The theme is universally known: on Edipo twins’ sons, Eteocle and Polinice, weigh on their father’s baleful fate: the twins agreed on taking turns on the reign: Eteocle was the first but it was never Polinice’s turn: Eteocle had him captured and kicked out of the city. The forced exile brought Polinice to make a deal with Argivi’s king to avenge Tebe and his brother. Eschilo’s tragedy starts here, with Argivo’s army at the gates of Tebe: for any of the 7 doors a terrible warrior and an equally terrible guardian. Who will win?
