A torrential monologue that’s like a live hip-hop concert.

Fragments of life unfold, of bullying, of consumerism, of bored kids, of “fuck yous”, of weed, drugs, desolation, of wanderings in “temples of consumption.” Sid is an Italian teenager of Algerian origin. He lives like any other kid in one of the many suburbs of the West. He lives in a world drugged by the society of spectacle, seduced by appearances rather than by being, by easy money procured through petty theft, even if it’s just bags from high-end shops. To escape his desperation and boredom, he secretly reads, listens to music, watches films. And he kills. Sid recounts a personal degeneration that smacks of collective defeat for an entire society. Sid is played by Alberto Boubakar Malanchino, born and raised in Milan, who lived for several years in Burkina Faso, his mother’s country of origin. A stage and film actor, he achieved fame with cult series such as Summertime and Doc – Nelle tue mani, the highly popular Rai1 drama.

SID SHORT PARTY

A project that involves a residency/workshop, during which artists and participants will engage in a creative process of exchange and discussion. The artists of the SID crew will be open to the local area and community, offering artists, activists, and local associations the opportunity to closely observe the creation of new forms of dissemination, storytelling, and dissemination of the themes that inform the show.
