Amleto² is much more than a reimagining of Shakespeare’s tragedy: it is an anarchic theatrical game, an explosive blend of surreal comedy and intimate drama, where Filippo Timi’s creative madness, combined with the actors’ incredible performances, transforms the great classic into a vibrant, contemporary, and existential cabaret, capable of shocking, moving, and surprising.

Timi’s Hamlet is mad, vital, pop, unconventional, eager to free himself from a seemingly looming fate. Gertrude (Lucia Mascino) becomes a ferocious mother capable of shaking a helpless son from his womb. Ophelia (Elena Lietti), in love and lost, finds the strength to tell her story before drowning. These characters are surrounded by the ghost of Hamlet’s father, in the guise of Marilyn Monroe (Marina Rocco), and a struggling showgirl, tired of fighting for the roles society imposes on her.

A new edition of Filippo Timi’s cult show, a reinterpretation where every gesture and word becomes a play and a personal voice, an intelligent provocation.
