COMPAGNIA ZAPPALÀ DANZA – TRILOGIA DELL’ESTASI

Description

The Compagnia Zappalà Danza returns to the Teatro Ponchielli after several years of absence with its Trilogia dell’estasi, a new work by the Sicilian choreographer Roberto Zappalà which is based on three of the most famous compositions of the last century and a half.

The fulcrum of this choreography is the space in which a “scenic device” is created that, times by times, performance by performance, limits, amplifies, modifies the dance.

A single stage set will host the creation, which at the same time respectively encloses exclusion, courtship and Eros in Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune; inclusion, vice and lust in Boléro and finally persecution and sacrifice in Le Sacre du printemps.
