Description
After the great success of “Swan Lake”, which opened the 2023 Dance Season at the Ponchielli Theatre, the Ballet Preljocaj Company returns with its latest creation: “Requiem(s)”.
The extraordinary beauty of requiems and their great spiritual power inspired Angelin Preljocaj to create a piece that has long been close to his heart.
It is a work of introspection, a choreographic requiem, a procession of bodies where musical works appear in a contrasting combination, allowing space for sound creations with contemporary atmospheres that are so dear to him.
Angelin Preljocaj reinvents his language with each new theme that inspires him. The immense diversity of requiems offers him a wonderful blank canvas where to write new grammars.
