The protagonist of the OperaLombardia season debut will be the renowned opera *La Bohème* by Giacomo Puccini, staged to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Tuscan composer’s passing. It took just the fleeting touch of two lovers’ hands for the leading opera composer on the Italian scene at the end of the 19th century to lay the foundation for a success that few can match, gifting the musical world with some of its most tender and sweetly mournful images. The production, with Teatro Sociale di Como as the lead within the OperaLombardia circuit, will feature the musical direction of Riccardo Bisatti, a very young conductor already appreciated by the OperaLombardia audience in the recent performance of *Don Giovanni*. The staging will be directed by Marialuisa Bafunno, whose young creative team won the under-35 contest for the directorial project of *La Bohème* for the OperaLombardia Circuit 2024/25.
