Description
The first execution of La nuova abitudine was in 2021 in San Petersburg, after a month of permanence of Mòra Company at the main Study centre of Znamenny Chants. After the beginning of the war the project could not be realized, both for the difficulty of singers to get away from Russia and for the general refusal to reproduce Russian art in all its forms.
The play is now back on stage, and the Theatre has chosen to bring it in a Church, as the perfect place to represent what it wants to narrate. Znamenny chants, from the Orthodox tradition, will echo into the symbolic place of Chiesa di San Michele Vetere, sang by the celestial voice of the Bulgarian Coro virile InSacris. They will also accompany a “small” and elegant dance, created and thought in all its details, which will bring the public into a timless place of tranquillity and peace.
