COMPAGNIA OPUS BALLET – WHITE ROOM

Description

Inspired by the work “The return from the wood”, by Giovanni Segantini (Italian painter, one of the most famous painters of the divisionism artistic school)  

White room by Adriano Bolognino, an other young artist who is, for the first time, hosted at the Ponchielli Theatre. Bolognino explores the emotional sides of winter, translating its cold colours into the emotions and feelings of the human being, forced into fatigue and work stress.

“Segantini paints a farmer who pulls a heavy slide, surrounded by a sad and desolating landscape of mountain and snow”. As the painter narrates to us the contrast between the harshness of life and the necessary vital force needed to overcome them, the show want to build a connection between its contemporary universe, underlined by fears and emotional weakness, lit by the flame of hope“.
