Description

A welcome and awaited comeback of the choreographer Hofesh Shecther, previously hosted in 2009 at the Ponchielli Theatre. The complexity of England and its entire country is the main plot of this new show From England with love, ode to this beautiful yet complex country. 

Through Schechter’s choreography, the dancer evokes the paradox that lies in the main centre of this generous nation, which is searching for its soul but it is always in conflict with its dark history and love for tradition. A great soundtrack goes with this intense work, through the music of stunning English composers, in a deep contrast to the rock and electronic music.  

From England with Love is a production of Hofesh Shechter Company co-commissioned by Château Rouge, scène conventionnée – Annemasse, Espace 1789, scène conventionnée danse – Saint-Ouen, Scène nationale de Bourg-en-Bresse, Düsseldorf Festival, Escales Danse.
